DOT Battery Regulations
DOT or the Department of Transportation regulated all types of batteries since batteries contain both electrical and chemical hazards. Therefore, batteries should comply with all DOT and Hazardous Material Regulation requirements when transported by any means including air, water, land, or sea.
You can assure that all battery shipments made by Thinpack are regulated.
Domestic Air Shipments
We designed all batteries that are non-spillable that can withstand DOT regulations prescribed testing such as vibration and pressure.
We also provide standard commercial battery packaging that can also provide additional protection from normal transport conditions and short circuits.
Surface Shipments
All the batteries that are non-hazardous are delivered through surface shipments.
International Air Shipment
Thinpack batteries that are electric storage, non-spillable, and wet that fall under UN 2800 and are classified in Special Provision are classified as non-dangerous. Therefore, it is safe for air shipment.
